What do you need to know? I had mine apart this past spring when I added a house pack and kept the 2 crank batteries. I had to reverse the location of the tray which meant removing the box, spinning it around and rewire.

Eddie-o:
Inside the Paralleling Junction Box ( known from here on as "the PJ box" ) is a solenoid with 4 terminals. Two large and two small. When you open the PJ box you will be looking forward.
- A short heavy gauge cable ( possibly O or 1 gauge ) comes from the positive post on the STBD battery, should enter the PJ box and connect to the STBD side large terminal on the solenoid ( let's call that "A" terminal ).
- Same for the PORT battery, a short heavy gauge wire from the PORT battery, enters the PJ box and connects to the PORT side large terminal on the same solenoid ( let's call that "B" ).
- From the STBD terminal on the solenoid ("A") another short 10 gauge or so, wire goes to one terminal on the STBD circuit breaker (still inside the PJ box).
- On the other terminal of the STBD circuit breaker another 10 gauge wire (mine is red) exits the PJ box and heads to the main breaker panel ( upstairs )and connects to the LEFT side of the 12 volt panel. This side services all house items. IE cabin lights, toilet, accessories, stereo, all 12 volt.
- Same for the PORT. From the PORT terminal on the solenoid ("B") another short 10 gauge wire goes to one terminal on the PORT circuit breaker. On the other terminal of the PORT circuit breaker another red 10 gauge wire exits the PJ box and heads to the main breaker panel and services the RIGHT side of the 12 volt panel. This side services the "boat operating" circuits. IE ignitions, nav lights, horn, accessories on the bridge, and blowers.
- Back to the PJ box. On the solenoid you will see two more small terminals. The STBD terminal should have an orange 12 gauge wire, this exits the PJ box and heads to the paralleling switch at the helm on the bridge. The other wire is white, also 12 gauge, and should be on the PORT small terminal. This also exits the PJ box and drops down to the ground bar that is directly below the box.
++++DISCLAIMER++++ My boat is a 1989 model F-32 with one helm and this is how I found the wiring upon purchase. The system works properly and in my opinon does not appear altered from original. The final decision to wire your boat in this manner will be yours.
