FROM AARON... T MINUS ONE DAY AND COUNTING...

Post by aaronbocknek »

i've moved up the time for closing on the tri cabin to 0900 saturday the 23rd, shady side location of clarks landing boat sales. if anyone is near there, drop by. i'm probably going to be too excited to drive home right away. she will be relocated from her present marina to parkside mid morning on sunday the 24th. i'm so stoked it's not even funny.

before phil and i take her home though, we are going to place the mezuzah on the cabin door from BUBALA3, and the one from EVENT HORIZON on the aft cabin door jamb, (consider it a type of post purchase blessing) then head out for a short cruise as this will be his first time experiencing the tri cabin underway. i cannot wait for him to get a feel for what she is like in motion. LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!! (laissez les bon temps roulez)

Take some photos along the way if you can and post them for us. Tomorrow will be here sooner than you think.

like i will be able to get any sleep at all tim. you should have seen me at the bank yesterday picking up the certified check. i could hardly contain myself. i got in the car and just broke down. not sure why, but i did. the emotions of the last month have been catching up with me i guess. i've waited for this moment for so long, and while i miss EVENT HORIZON and hope she has a good home, i know, in my heart, this is the right move for us.

Thanks Aaron,
I always wondered what that thing was on the right side of the door jamb going in to my aft cabin.
I left it there as it was on the boat when I purchased it. I figured I could use any help I can get!
Good luck with the new boat.

Aaron, have Phil takes some shots as you're cruising. Love to see them.

BTW: Ever notice that when you're up in the air flying over beautiful water, you wish you were on your boat. But when you on your boat on a beautiful day, you look up and think... nahhhhh. :)

Enjoy Saturday's cruise!

just after i posted yesterday, the crew desk called and placed me on the afternoon boston shuttle (two round trips from dc, starting at 1130). i flew with a captain that owns a sea ray sundancer in annapolis and wanted to know where my marina was. i said, ''when we head north, look for martin state airport off our starboard wing. then track left of the runway, look for that small body of water (frog morter creek). look for the small marina that looks like a giant T head....there you go. anyway, as we were heading back to dc from our first sequence, i looked out the galley window from my jumpseat and spotted my marina along with heart miller island. i always marvel at what a great area i'm in with my boat. and yeah, i often look down when we are flying over water, especially landing in ft. myers at the gulf and when i see vessels heading out with their wakes behind them i get a feeling of just wanting to be right there, throttles open, heading out into open water.
