How Many Actually Use Your Compass?

Not much need for it on the upper Mississippi... Water flows south and at the widest spot we are on, its < 4 mi wide. So, the compass on the upper helm never got re-installed when I redid the dash, and the one on the lower helm is where I place my hat when I head for home on Sunday :)

Sun damage is a killer! :)

I uncover mine to ensure its still working, but hardly use it while underway. For me its much easier to watch the GPS and follow the purple line.

I could totally use it if i had too, but its not needed with a good GPS.
