If you click on photos, there are 79 of them. Boat would need lots of work, but the engines alone are probably worth the price. If someone has a 10 meter and wants a parts boat, it would be awesome. I've been on an aft cabin 10m express. Its kind of cool to have a separate area, but it definately limits the cockpit space, and is a pain to fish from.

-------------------------------------------------------

Just looked at the 79 pix.

It is possible that I have actually seen this boat before - not yet verified.

Neglected, unused dock queen that did nothing but sit in the water. Confirmed by the barnacles.

This style with 2 heads and sleeping accomodations for 8 is interesting, but has limited deck space.

Isn't that where everyone ends up anyhow?

The aft deck is just too darn high to fish from and has no coaming or rails to make you feel safe, let alone to put rodholders in.

This model is probably heavier than the more popular express cruiser.

A redesign of that aft deck would do wonders for the versatility of this design, however imagine 8 people ?

If they're not in the bunks, where would you put them?

Assuming the genny is shot due to condition and age, throw in new upholstery @ what? And engines, components, bolt ons like HVAC ?

Genny @ 5
upholstery, counters, stove, fridge, HVAC @ 15
rebuilt engines/components @ 15

put $40,000 into that boat when you could buy one up and running for less?

maybe it's not such a bargain after all.

Sounds like a parts boat...Especially someone who owns a 10M aft with 7.4 crusaders...Ahhh, and those fuel injection units.

O.K.

I'll take the swim platform & ladders and the center windshield with the opening section.

We can dismantle the windshield corners and all the hardware rails and ship them to PK in Europe.

You may as well take the engines complete - run a compression check and if they are good, just swap them out.

The rest could be stripped out and inventoried, things like electrical panels, etc.

Beacon marine would probably want the struts, shafts and props.

The problem is - what to do with the hull?

Landfill?

Seems a shame. She is after all, intact.

I have confirmed that this is the boat I was on in 2001.

I sent PK an e-mail about this boat.

I believe I know a local yard where it could be kept while it is stripped.

PK needs the windshield and numerous other items.

I'd like to have that center opening glass feature and a second teak swim platform.

Seems a shame to cannibalize her, but it is what it is.

disposal is the issue...

Post by BobCT »

there's a 1990 mid cabin down in Fla (no engines) for $5k, you could get it for $3-$4k.

I was ready to fly down and spend a couple of days stripping it until the guy told me "all the metal has to be removed and disposed of including the gas tanks".

When you send it to be crushed they'll only take fiberglass, at least that was the case down there.

That killed it for me....

I was one step ahead of you on that item and a few others.

Maybe we can set up a clearinghouse for parts, but I expect most everything will be salvaged with the exception of the hull.

It's ashame, it was a decent boat.

I talked to the guy who pumped her out. 3-4' of water in the aft cabin and 2-3 in the fwd cabin.

She was sitting on the bottom at low tide.

Auction has ended.

Boat sold for 3,240.

PK was going to buy her and I was going to help him with the arrangements and cannibalize a few items off of her.

Anyone know who got her and what the plans might be to restore or scrap her out?
