Found a New Home for my Microwave

Post by obeejr »

My 1990 f32 doesn't have a shelf behind the dinette, so our microwave oven has been sitting on the galley counter.

I just bought a new GE microwave ($56) that has reasonable interior space, but is just small enough to sit on the top shelf of the galley cabinets, to port and forward (adjacent to the head closet). It is shallow enough that the doors can still slide closed, and it is black in color which blends in nicely behind the closed doors.

I'm thrilled to recover the counter space.

My brother also has that on his '77 F32. His sliders are a lighter shade than mine and when closed, you can see the clock illuminated through the slider...neat.

It's a GE JES735BF. I bought it from Best Buy because they had it in Black, but Walmart has basically the same thing in white, model JES738, for ten bucks less.
