The tax was only one of the things. A lot of co. had to fight the same tax strong went on and the weak get eaten. And yes you can update a gmc of today is not the same as one of 1962 but both our gmc's

I read the Pascoe review before I bought my boat and it made me think long and hard. I even brought it with me when I had the boat surveyed and I was told to ignore it and we went through most of the things he picked on and we found little to no truth in what he had to say.
As for my boat being a Carver I see no signs of carver in my boat not even in the badging. This boat is unlike anything else I have seen it has held up far better then most boats and night and day better then the popular mass produced boats that so many love. There is very little I would change if I could on my boat and the things that where dated I replaced or updated as you can tell from the link to my pictures in my signature. I know that this is not a part of the old Trojan family but for those of you who haven't seen these boats up close I think you may be surprised how well they where built. Anyone here interested you are welcome to stop by and visit, when she is back in the water of coarse.

at parkside, on my dock, there are two 440's side by side. i love watching them head out of the dock on a sunny summer day. the shape is amazing and they always turn heads. i've been onboard both and they are built like battleships. the fit and finish is great in everyway. the room on the interior is nothing short of cavernous. they are diesels and both owners say they get great economy, even at high speeds. one went through a complete hull repainting at edwards boat yard year before last. the hull is painted taupe with a black water line. it's really sharp. those of you that are close to me, come down and take a look at them. i'm in slip 117, to the right of the T head near the end. the 440's are facing outward towards martin state airport.

That's my boat, I really could do without the logo on the shower stall.
I have new carpet and the salon couch was re-upholstered as well as both staterooms. Added the swim platform and updated the helm but otherwise the ad is my boat. I would be willing to sell for about 20k less if anyone is interested. Not that I'm looking to sell at this time.

Those really were wonderful luxury yachts, well built with really fine fittings, features and excellent fit and finish.

Please tell me what exactly is the function of the two hinged lids on the wet bar, above the cockpit fridge/icemaker?

There is not much of a purpose however it is nice to serve snacks on that space and while underway close the lid so things don't slide.

Interesting they installed them in 96 and 97 then removed them for a couple of years and then brought then back again. I like the look of them looks sleek and finished.

As I have mentioned in an earlier post, Carver had there hands full trying to live up to the Trojan name I think they did well, even though it did last more then 7 years I think they just lost interest and pro-sued other new names.
