It was the same in a good economy , I think there is a fear of going to far from home by boat. I remeber taking a 10 day vaction on a boat we went a lot of places went this way and that way but never got more then 25-30 miles from home I guess I felt safer staing close not sure . a lot of boaters seem that way Fear of the unknown ? The few times I went out of my "zone" I had other boats with me . But after breaking out I found I was missing a lot , there are so many place to see . Tanger is a must St mikes . the Solomans kinsale deltaville Herring harbour just so manny great place on the Bay

Hi Tony,

I'll try to arrange a trip to DC when we have a rendezvous in the area. I know Paul is trying to get a response from Kent to get his plan but that's like pulling teeth.

From what I have seen VA boaters 150 miles give or take , MD boaters 25 miles or so . CT boaters 400 plus miles

Now before the MD boaters get mad PROVE ME WRONG !! :D :D :D

Me stir up something ?? never 8)

I think your talking round trip miles when you say 150. The closest idea here so far for me is aprox. 100nm round trip, which is a great short cruise for us. I like ALL of the ideas so far.

It was , besides ST Mikes we Hit Herring Harbor south , The Solomons (spring cove)Urbana ( city dock) , May have hit the Tides inn

The only Complaint I had was no Pool at The marina in st Mikes , It was a working marina (Higgins ) But they were great to us and the rate were cheap . The Night of our cook out was Heavy rain was coming so they cleared out a large boat shed for us to use
