FROM AARON, TRI CABIN WINTER COVER

Post by aaronbocknek »

hey gang, for those of you that own tri cabins, i thought i would share with you a pic of the winter cover that came with the boat. phil and i removed the frame, wrapped it up so it did not fall all over the place, turned it so the top half of the frame rests toward the port side seating area. the rest of the frame rests just in front of the console and just behind the helm seat. the center support pole is mounted on a wooden block that i drilled a hole into to add support and anti skid shelf paper under the wood. the pole then extends to form a teepee. its a bit of a challenge to get inside, but it can be done. the enclosure is rolled up in the aft stateroom then will be tied and transported home to rest standing up for the winter. the bimini top is going to be cleaned and rewaterproofed. it took us about two hours to do it all and now that we know what we are doing, it should be easier next time. just thought i would share.

Thanks for the photo Aaron. It reminds me of the mooring cover on my previous boat only that one enclosed the entire windshield and side windows also. I would put it on anytime I was going to be away from the boat for an extended period and when it was on the trailer.

I wouldn't mind having one of those for SeaDog.

Yeah crab pots too!! (Jimmy Hoffa) That boat is in great shape! Really hate to say it Aaron but it definately looks better with the bimini top and enclosure but its coming that time of year, so I understand. Aaron, meant to ask you sat. did you ever get the new horn on? If not let me know I'll stop by and give you a hand with it.
