Never thought this would cross my mind

Post by Dreamer »

I never thought this would cross my mind, but I think its time to sell Dreamer. My boys are now 5 and 7. Things are starting to get a little tight. We are also looking at remodeling our home, and will need a place to stay for a while. Dreamer is a little to tight for all of us to live in. I know she'll make someone a great boat.

It will probably be hard to move it in the winter time in Michigan. I am sure yours is put away for the winter like mine, but spring is not far away. It is always a sad day when you realize that you have to part with what amounts to a very good friend. Maybe by spring you can figure another way without selling the boat.

I have always enjoyed fixing up the Trojan boats. This one I felt was the best, I feel I'm ready for the next challenge. I'm looking for something in the 36' range. My wife is ready for a private state room. We do not fish as much on our boat, we tend to go with friends on theirs, so I'm leaning to a AFT cabin.

Sell the boat to remodel the home? Did your wife write this post?
Your boys are just getting to the age where they will really enjoy spending time with you on the boat.

If you need a place to stay cheap consider and old Airstream or Avion Travel trailer. They are well built, all aluminum, so older ones can be in great shape. Can you put one in your drive (no HOA?)? You can pick up a thirty foot, self contained one with a shower and full tub for 4-8k.
I got this one last month for $4500. Everything works and it has a new h/w heater and oven/stove.

There's a few Tri Cabins out there   You can VERY easily stay on one of these.

And foofer........ I notice your camper has the Rob & Laurie Petrie beds  I miss having campers, used to keep one at a lake in PA with a deck boat

I'm hoping to get on a 36' Tri as soon as I can. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.
