Rudder Stuffing Boxes
I need to either adjust or repack my F32 rudder stuffing boxes. It looks like I need to hang upside down in the lazerette hatch and sill work with a mirror. Anyone out ther have any suggestions or experience with this?

Is that diagram SPECIFIC to our brand or general?
Mine do leak and I got a set of plastic bearings some years ago from John Leed at Marine Tech, however I have put off that job.
Doesn't look like too much fun and to be honest, it seems a bit daunting, especially regarding frozen parts and saltwater.
Does anyone know if the Internationals are the same as the F series?

"when you say your F36's "rudder arm is on top", what do you mean? "
I mean that the rudder arm is on top
The rudder (tiller ) arm is above the coller and bearing nerar there top of the rudder shaft

I checked mine yesterday, and my tiller arm is also at the top.
So, apparently, this picture is NOT representative of the F32 or F36 rudder setup. It must be a generic drawing, but it is very similar on the lower mounting, etc.

No joke here........ In the rare instances I can't get to them I give a local 10 yr old $20 to wiggle down there and do it while I'm up top giving instruction. Just a thought.

Turns out this "MOTOR YAHCT RUDDER - PORT" is from PAGE 6 of the "FAMILIARIZATION - POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS" of my 1976 Trojan Owner's Manual.
It may not represent wha's in our boats, but it is what in the Trojan manual.
