Manifolds and risers

Around here the RWC manifolds worst enemy is "freezing". When properly winterized and cared for, these manifolds can last the life of the boat. When I bought my Trojan, both manifolds were cracked and needed to be replaced. When I installed the new engine I also installed new Osco manifolds and elbows. The guy who owned the boat before me repaired the cracked manifolds with Devcon epoxy but that didn't last very long.

OEM manifolds are better then the Osco , heaver castings . Not that there is anything wrong with Osco , Barr marine also makes a very good replacement manifold a little better then Osco IMO . Ignoring price My choice would be OEM then Barr then Osco . How ever if Barr or Osco fit the budget better I would not think twice about using ether one.
