80's Trojan decals

Post by JGedridge »

Hey all,
The previous owner re-striped my boat and took off the original trojan decal on the side of the boat. It was not the kind that is sold on this website. It is the type with the blocks on either side and it says, "Trojan" and the helmet as a decal. Where on earth can i find this again??????? I tried to go on ebay for them, but no goal.

Any luck with you 80's trojan owners?

Joe

I have never seen a place to get replacements. If you got a photo of one, you may be able to use it as a template to either paint it on the boat, or cut yourself a version out of tape... consider it a DIY craft project.

Not to change the subject,,,but speaking of lettering, I'm wanting to put the name of our boat on the stern. I have looked at the custom made lettering that peal, and stick on, but a little costly.

I was thinking of buying wood letters, then make a wood plaque, clue the letters on to it and screw the plaque to the stern. Does this sound to weird? Would finish with marine varnish.

How did some of you who named their boat,,,do it?

Seen it on trawlers looks ok , also done painted/ decal letters on wood plague looks good too

I had a decal made for my boat and put it on the stern

Word of advice on naming a boat ,Don't ask for advice ! ( on pickling a name) The answers are never pretty , funny some times , but not nice most times
