A better view from the harbor. I think the ice is somewhere between 6 and 8 inches thick. Anyway there is lot of people out on the ice, fishing for cod.

Hi Paul and all the others out here! Happy New Year to all of you!

Yes Paul, I have got a company in USA called Dynamic Ocean to produce two new cornerframes with glass, weatherstrips and all. Expencive Yes, but then it will be nice and originally as new. Rest of the frames are now OK, just missing the glasses. They are to be made by my brother in law, he owns a glasscompany.

LOL.... It was just frozen in my marina area. The Bay proper is OK.
Now the ice is gone since it was so warm last week

It's not just ice that folks have to worry about. During last February's huge snow storms, sheds collapsed at two separate marinas in the upper Chesapeake Bay area. One at Georgetown MD on the Sassafras River, the other on the Bohemia River. Glad I keep mine "on the hard."

Online pcs available at:

Do you just run an engine compartment heater, or do you have a closed loop cooling system as well?

We are going to de-winterize ours in March-ish. The creeks are still frozen on the Potomac, and show no signs of letting up!

I am surprised there are no bubblers installed in those marinas like we have here in Toronto. The risk of freezing, no matter how little is of great concern, Ice can be very damaging when it begins to compress the hull.

Example of bubblers working
