If we are on this jag ... I have never been a fan of the TriFly for some reason. I like the looks of the Tri (and similarly the 42 Chris Craft Commander double cabin with the pointed transom), but just never got hooked on the TriFly like I have with the rest of the Trojan lineup. It always just looked 'weird' to me.

Having said that, I AM a fan of the Viking 43 DCMY and Ocean Yachts Sunliner series... so maybe the difference is that in that style I need a broken sheer ???

Ok here's an opinion  flush deck boats are nice and do look nice , I looked at a lot of them.before getting my boat the biggest dislike I found was the helm area could get bizzy with folks around you and looking over the bow on plane. With a fly bridge the bow is in full view at all times and I can clear my bridge when the women get to chatty.
And don't forget with a fly I can see you before you see me

Some good points Tony. I do wish I was a foot higher underway, mainly because of the Mine Field I have to go through getting to the bay (crab pots)

Crab pots ! Man watch out if you ever go to Elizabeth city comin up that river is pure hell they have a bunch of south Vietnam folks down there that don't care about the channel makers and pit them right in it. O and they use black floats !! I found this out when I was doing 26 knots and at sunset try to get in before dark, and Teddy and Rex Regan needed to go poo.

They use dirty old white ones here, and even blue
But I'm lucky with the Tri now, guests fight over who gets to sit up there on the comfy bow seat while cruising so I make them do watch duty
