As an aside, any chance you know a good friend of mine Geoff Ward, an old Yacht Club boy?

Ok... I remember now (wow  !!!) ! Don't think I ever actually met you, but I knew (know) Murray. I remember the Pace from before Murray and Theresa bought it. I think you kept it on the inside of Bastienne dock (if it was named that way back then) - the middle pier. You would have been just off my transom and down 3 or 4 few slips. The boat name White Heather may ring a bell for you - that was my folks. I took over their slip in 2001 when I pulled in with Water Music. (and from about '94 'till 2002 I also had Wave Dancer (26' Four Winns Liberator - little blue speedboat) on the outside of Bastienne, just a couple of slips from the end). I still see Murray hanging out a the Marina a couple of times a year.

I also knew the guy they bought the snailboat from - I think it was previously named Wilmar. When my wife and I got married we arranged to leave the reception aboard my father's boat - my folks arranged for Bill to captain it.

Name doesn't ring a bell... but if I saw a picture the old grey matter might just kick in again...

Some of that shakes out the cob webs, seem to remember the Liberator, always one of my favorite boats, yup was on Bastienne dock. Of course that was a few years ago, the boat got moved up here, then sold to some nice folks that keep her near Bobcageon. Came across the F26 kinda by mistake, looked at a couple F32's, but bank account said no, resolved to being boatless for another year, then the F26 came along, decent deal, from another post I seem to remember you telling people that they should hold out for thier prices and keep prices higher, well this seller dropped from his price like a hooker's panties...boat had been launched and he was keeping 2 slips ahead of marina mgr, part of the deal was to get the boat out in 2 days max! Really enjoyed her last year, kind of a floating cottage, planning a few trips along Trent for this year, maybe out to Georgian Bay. Can't wait for Spring launch!
