Windshield

Post by Vic »

OK, now that you guys have been so helpful in regard to my spray problems, I have another question.
Just talked to the yard guy, Ross, who will be workign on my boat in a couple of weeks. He is having a hard time finding new rubber seals/moldings for the windshield of my boat - again, Pescatore is an '86, 10 meter, mid cabin express.
All three of the large panes of glass have leaks at their bottom edges; and the frames are starting to show a little corrosion. I had instructed Ross to remove all of the glass; to clean and paint the frames; and to install new seals. However, he cannot find a source for the rubber.
I have talked to Beacon about this matter and they have yet to come up with a solution.
Anyone had this situation occur and found a source?
Thanks.

Didn't our Norwegian friend just do this, or is he still gearing up for the job?

pk, pk,..come-in...over.., PK is our friend in Norway who is in the middle of a MAJOR refit. He gets busy on his boat and forgets us sometimes. You can search pk's posts and see some of his projects.
