A failed attempt at getting to our boating grounds

Post by Reel Nauti »

Here is a video from last week in the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. We typically boat out in this area, and the islands help to lock some ice in in the winter, this video is taken about 25 miles off shore.

Thanks for the video that helps to remind me of the miseries of winter.

I hate winter too. Blizzard heading our way tonight through Wednesday evening with 12-18 inches of snow, sustained winds of 30mph gusts to 45mph and 1/4-1/2 inch of sleet, freezing rain, and ice. Can you say SCREAM!!!

You just have to take the good with the bad, if you make the most of it winter can be awesome with all the added things one can do.....and it makes vacations that much more meaningful as well as a much fonder appreciation for open water season.

Doesn't hurt that I will be in Florida in 3 days.

Such hostility guys. Is that what cabin fever does to you-makes you lash out at your warmer cousins!

Oh and Alexander, Jimmy Swaggart called me this morning and told me you're gonna get a blizzard tomorrow!!!!

If it's under 80, it must be camping weather!!

Hey guys, take it easy on foofer. We have our bad days down here as well. Just the other day I had to turn on the house heat for like 3 hours until the sun warmed things up.

Seriously, I know it's cold up north but try the Summers down here, 100+ all day on the coast and it is so hot you just don't even want to go outdoors.
