Sounds like you just need the mount , can you get a name off the Clynder ? I don't believe thats what came on the boat , looks like you have a auto pilot too

That is the original SyTen steering cylinder and mount. SyTen was made by Teleflex, and is discontinued. I don't think you are supposed to be able to swap parts between their current systems and the old ones, but maybe a mount such might be swappable... Here's the info on their current line of inboard steering system cylinders http://ww2.seastarsteering.com/INBOARD/inboard.htm

you could replace with a seastar cylinder. but i would check with bob (beacon marine) here on this site and see if he might have a used one. and
yes you can swap parts from syten to seastar.

my problem
i had a syten lower helm that was leaking at the front seal. after it continued to get worse i found no one that could help except said you have to replace it with new. i found an article that showed how someone opend theirs and replaced the seal. i decided whats to loose. i succesffully opened mine measured the seal got a new one and installed however upon reassembly the base cracked, so that was it. i went for a while without the lower station, just capped off the hoses. didnt like it that way but.. found a great price on a new seastar helm ordered it and and it installed easily using the original syten fittings. alas no more leaks and the system is working great again. feels better than it did before.

Thanks for the help! I am looking at the Seastar cylinders but having a hard time with the local suppliers seems they don't know if it will match up with my system. I have emailed Seastar hopefully they will respond with a model # and I can purchase a new one.

i called these guys
http://www.go2marine.com/

among tons of others and they were very nice and helpful. i wish i could remeber the guys name there but he gave me the phone number of a service tech he knew at teleflex who was very knowledgeable about seastar and i was able to just call and speak with him quickly . you might could try contacting go2 and speak to them about your need.
