Just Around The Corner

Post by Stripermann2 »

We set our clocks ahead in 12 more days. Then spring comes upon us in just 19 more days. Gee...when some are getting ready to splash, I'll be ready to haul out. Need a couple of weeks on the hard, for some maintenance and retrofitting. Then I should be ready to go.

Oh yeah ??? Well... I was outside in jeans and a sweatshirt yesterday!!! It was a blistering 1C (or 34F)!!! Damn it felt good!! (that's the best come-back I've got..... last Friday it was 14F and I was driving to a business meeting through whiteouts, and walking through 6" of snow back to the car after my meeting.... interesting day though - first time I have ever seen a tow truck going about 200' down a road sideways!). Any other Canucks have a better shot to offer up???? I hate this winter crap.

Up until this morning I was basking in the sun in a hamock with ice cold brew in hand, bikinis walking by, all the seafood I could eat, on top of a tuna tower deep sea fishing. I swear it must have been about 90 deg.... then I woke up. Bummer. I think the only thing that was ice cold was my feet. It won't be long now captain.

About two months and I'll be ready to splash her for the season. Getting anxious. Heading to Florida for 10 days vacation and some serious fishing tomorrow. Hope the weather and temps hold.

13 degrees today. I fired up the oil stove, installed ugly vinyl roll shades & watched Lord of the Rings as the boat interior got up to a balmy 70 degrees. It was nice. Fishing starts in about two months.

I think our Crude Oil is around that. I'm lucky...... our marina only changes price when they get new fuel, not like the street stations that raise their prices on a whisper
