Dinghy Davit mounts

Post by foofer b »

I finally got around to redoing my dinghy davit mounts. I copied the design some of you F32/36 owners have done on their swim platforms. I bolted aluminum, plate to the top and bottom of the platform to help carry and spread the load . While doing it I noticed my S/P mounts were loose. Upon inspection I found all the bolts a liitle loose and NO CAULK on any of the thru hulls where the upper side of the S/P bolts to the transom. Any of you ever check that?

This is the mount on top before. You can see the swim ladder mount is already done like the new mount.

Nice job! That'll stiffen things up for all the dive gear as well. As far as the transom mounts go, mine have sealer on them but I plan on re-sealing in the spring.
