F26 on Long Island/NYC Metro Area??

Post by bryan3536 »

Hi Folks,

Great site full of information. My father and I are thinking about making a 7-8 hour trip to check out a F26 for sale. We've researched the boat and it sounds great for us - on paper. We've actually never seen one in person. Before we make the trip, I thought I would take a shot in the dark and ask whether anyone has an F26 in the NYC metro area that we could check out one day. Not asking for a special trip - if you're opening it up and don't mind company for 15-20 minutes, we would much appreciate it. Of course, bonus points if it's also for sale!

Hey Bryan,
I have a 1975 F-26 on the Housatonic River in Shelton CT, which is about 90 min from NYC. It's still under cover, but I can show you some of the things you should look for. Let me know,
Matt

Thanks guys for the info - for some reason your posts weren't getting emailed to me, so I thought no one had responded. The link to Hanna Bear is the one I was looking at - it's about a 9 hour drive though and I've never seen one in person (that I can recall) hence my original question. Weather is getting nice again so I will reach out to those of you who offered your assistance.

Hi Bryan,
Let me know if you'd still like to look at an F-26. I've been working on mine, should have the cover off in the next couple of weeks.
