Tomorrow begins the de-winterization process on the F28!!1!

The cover and frame have to be removed/disassembled, anchor light remounted, fluid change, greasing, etc.

I hope to have the cover stuff done tomorrow night, and the rest done by Saturday evening. Then we will putt around on Sunday, and bring her to our home marina. It is about freakin time!

here in MN it looks like it could be months before boating season. The Mississippi is on the rise following near records snows (Over 80" since mid Dec). The river is to exceed flood stage in the next two weeks and may not receed below that level until early June. If this is true, the 2011 boating season may only be 4 months long this year
So, since I won't be burning up all that fuel cruis'n around, I've started to think about project I can take on while she sits on the hard in the storage lot. The 100 year water mark is about 3ft lower than the storage lot, so hopefully, the lot stays dry.

I'm about two months away from splash day since I have a couple of projects to finish before launch day. Our marina actually opens April 1st but I figure the projects will take a good four more weeks since I am three hours away and only get there on the weekends.

Don't worry Tony he is only trying to round up more votes for this years election! May a million tiny white critters grow on his props and shafts for being that mean.   And I thought Ross and Foofer were bad talking about how warm it was in Jan. You might have lost votes there 'King'.
