There are a few low bridges but knowledgeable haulers know to exit and return at them and to use side road for a couple of old ones.rooferdave wrote:my 76 trifly came down highway 400 from penetang here in ontario, and we had to pull the windshield, with a tape I think I was 13'4' -13'6 this was on the trailer as we were getting underway.
Why, no time to take her up the Trent? Hmmm I might offer to do it for you at half the haul rate.jimbo36 wrote:Ready123, My F36 Tri will be hauled from Belleville to Midland/Penetanguishene as well. Yes the company, Landtug, knows which is the best route for my boat. Experience counts!jimbo36
I started my GB experiences in Midland back in the '80's (Wye Heritage now Doral). Nice try though...jimbo36 wrote:Maybe you should move down to Bay Moorings. The 400 extension and 93 to MIdland/Penetang would cut some time off for youSorry man, must be the salesman in me

shame that, Severn boat haven I really liked senator Kelly, him and I shared many a beer when I did the roof on his cottage there in the 80's.jimbo36 wrote:Oh yeh, I hear you about the crowds. In fact, this is a huge issue in the 1000 Is. as well. I have a good friend who docked his F32 at Wye Heritage in the 80's Dave Bardeau. He is the one I mentioned on a previous post who now lives in Florida and has no interest in boating there. Misses GB. FYI, Doral has been renamed Wye Haritage.
Also, Severn Boat Heaven and Jim Earle have been taken over by the Starport Group
