Finally got around to applying the first coat of interlux perfection to the bottom. I roll and tipped it as per most of youse guys advice. It turned out well, having most all of the imperfections ya'll warned me would show thru. It looks so much better than it did that I am still thrilled with the results. Will sand and add a second coat this week. How long do I let it dry before sanding? Assuming 65 mean temperature?

Yeah I thought it was a bad batch it was so thin, plus the can was only 2/3 full!! Duh! I figured that part out, but it went on really thin but thickens as you apply it. The really hard part is putting it on TTTHHHHIIIINNNN, so it doesn't run, cuz once it runs, surprise, it's not thin anymore and you can't hardly smooth it out.
Plus it smelled like my wife had 35 of her friends over and they were all painting their nails at once!!!

Time and materials question is a highly classified matter and cannot be discussed on an unsecured line. The Admiral's eyes and ears are everywhere.
Let's just say in materials it was about what you'd pay for a used decent plastic boat, but about only a third or a quarter what you'd pay for a new comparable fiberglass model. My time does not figure into it greatly, as it is a hobby type activity and was a spare time type dealio.
