Oil Filters

Post by jddens »

So am I the ONLY Trojan owner on this site that has duel remote oil filters???
If so then I'm thinking maybe I need to change the setup to single and get back a little oil pressure. These motor have a checkered past, they came out of Mercs facility in Mich. Apparently they were test bed engines so who knows what's up with them....................John

I would stay with them , make sure clean an flush out the lines , I don't be leave they will cause a pressure loss . Its a common set up on big blocks . and some small blocks like yours

With that said I don't believe it would hurt to go to 1 filter

Why not wait til the rebuilt engine has been run and see what you got for oil pressure. You didn't have oil pressure issues on the other engine, but a spun main on this one.

I agree; the set up I have works fine and servicing them is a breeze.
