Air conditioning question
Hi guys,
Our CruisAir Air Conditioner raw water pump crapped out. I'm not sure what is required for the replacement. Previous owner always replaced EVERYTHING with garbage or plain automotive. So, I don't know what should really be there. The current spec's are:
1982 f32
CruisAir Air Conditioner
Little Giant Pump Company
CAT. 581935
Type U31E l 977458
NO. 7131-0015 HP 1/12 RPM 311 (can't be sure after the 3??)
Sealed Ball Bearing Class A
Model 115 Vac. 60 Hz.
1 Phase
Thermally Protected
XX1897453 (It's either a 5 or 6)
Any info is appreciated.

The little Giant was mainly used for fish ponds. For a replacement call Marine Air at 954 973 2477

The most common pumps are March and cal . I like the the march pumps best as the are water cooled and run cooler, I am using cal pump right now because I had to have one and it what was in stock no issues after 2 years .
The March pumps are OEM with many AC makes ( may have their own label on it ) like Dometric makers of Cruse air , and Marine air
You can get them at West or Defender and many other marine outlets , they should have a chart to size the pump to the btu of your AC

I would use March LC-3CP-MD 520gph thermally protected, can be installed in the engine room and since air conditioning pumps must be installed below the water line (they are not self priming) this pump is liquid cooled and will run underwater. It is epoxy sealed and submersion will not hurt it. New around $200.00 I just bought one on E-bay for 148.00 delivered.

No Offense to anyone in particular but since I got stepped on for posting the defender marine sale, shouldn't we be recommending that Beacon Marine be given first shot at supplying any of our member's needs? Just a thought.

We just try not to bring up in a thread, a competitors link. Especially if they sell what Beacon sells.risctaker wrote:No Offense to anyone in particular but since I got stepped on for posting the defender marine sale, shouldn't we be recommending that Beacon Marine be given first shot at supplying any of our member's needs? Obviously, a link on how to improve your pansie garden or a sail boaters guide to drying wet bed sheets... may be acceptable.

Just trying to flush out the "rules" I posted the defender sale only after seeing that other members were recommending to go to this site or that store for their needs. Just trying to level the playing field.
