Have them rebored.

and to slow down pull back on those thingy's on the right side of the helm.

Idle speed one engine in gear about 5 knots . only way to slow down is in and out of gear .

MY idles is about 8 knots (20 pitch on 1:1 trans) ... good for offshore (and crusiing mileage), but not the creek.
