Need Onan 6.5 Motor

Unfortunately I need to find a new motor for my Onan 6.5, or replace it. My almost ex, ran gen exetnsively over a summer and never added oil. Engine froze and now its my problem. Anyone know where I can locate a replacement motor or a similar used generator? I'd even look at other brands. Tight budget due to attorney. LOL
Any insight appreciated.

Have you called the local Cummins dealer ? They own Onan now . Do you have the skill to overhaul it ?

IS that an MCCK 6.5? My friend has a partially dismantled one in his boat and may be interested in it.

Looks like someone whated a motor but after all this time I guess they where not that interested check with gardnersf

If you don't have any luck with the previous offers check out http://www.smokstac.com . There is a board solely for onan gennys (your is probably a MCCK, my 1988 6.5 is that model).

I haven't looked there for parts but there is a large group of people that could point you in the right direction, either buying a used motor or telling you how to rebuild what you have.

My Onan is a 6.5 MCE model. I'm having some trouble finding a replacement motor. Apparently this model was discontinued sometime ago and there are not many parts to be found. At least that is what I have been told. I'm now trying to find a replacement.
