It turned out better than I thought it would. My wife and I both love being able to see out while sitting on the couch under way and the storage underneath is great. It will take a little getting used to the height but I wish I would have done this years ago and now a buddy that has an F-32 wants one. Now I just have to change the two year old carpet to match the riser. One of the guys that helped me put it in said it was starting to look like a Bayliner :x I wanted to knock him off the dock.

Hey...... your wife can shine your shoes. JK
Looks great Wowzer, I think most folks will think it's a custom option from the factory. I'm definitely not going to show this pic to my wife LOL, she is SOO big on storage and I can't handle another project
Thanks for sharing

Thanks guys, When we went for a ride to try it out my wife liked it so much she wanted to anchor out and spend the night on the boat. When she wasn't running the boat she was sitting on the couch watching out the windows. Last year we re-upholstered the dinette seats and V-birth cushions and now she says the couch is too ugly and wants to replace it. So this couch is for sale as of yesterday $350. If anyone is interested. It folds into a bed and there is a large drawer on the right side and the face comes off the left side for storage underneath. Though, when the yacht club members here about it I'm sure someone will snatch it up. When the admiral is happy there are great benefits. 8) Again, thanks for the encouragement.

Just added a table to the riser, works great. We're going on a cruise down the Columbia river to Astoria, Or. on Friday and hang out for three days so we'll put it to the test.

Definately let us know how it works out. The table addition looks great!Did you draw plans out for this or knew in your head what you wanted and just built it? Really got me thinking about building one for my boat for momma to keep her happy!

I did the measurements and drew it up with just enough room to lift the hatches and let the drapes for the sliding glass door hang to the floor. The extra storage is great and the table which rotates easy is small enough to not get in the way but will hold a laptop with room for a mouse or two plates of food. It changed the way we think about the boat.
