LVL- Laminated veneer Plywood Beam for Stringer?

When I took my F-32 in to have the bottom stripped and painted, the yacht service owner and I had a very long conversation about different types of repairs and one of them was stringer replacement. One of the ways he repairs them is to cut the top cap off the stringer, dig out the rooten wood, clean the inside with special cleaners and poor them back with a special type of epoxy resin. I didn't think about asking the details because I am not ready to replace mine, but it seemed to make sense when he was telling me about it. I'm sure that he would be happy to share the procedure. If anyone would like the contact them; A and D Yacht Service, 503-543-2785, Scapoose, Oregon,
I think one of the companies that makes the pourable filler is Seacast.
I looked at it but wuold have had to make too many molds for areas I changed or where the original manufacturer didnt cover with fiberglass.
here is the web site http://transomrepair.com/zk/stringers.shtml
If anyone has used it I would like to know?
I have a Knee that needs repair on the transom and this would work quite well.

I hope it works out for you! Keep us up to date please.... the only thing is what you asked before will fiberglass stick to it... that's the important question but I think it will if its roughed up with a grinder before being set in the hull....
You've gotta be tough if you're gonna be STUPID!
