F-32 need of interior

Post by teri »

HI all. I am so thankful for such a wonderful and helpful website. My husband and I bought a 1978 F32. She does not have cushions for the state room, nor cushion or table for the galley (hope thats right, very new to boating). I was wondering if anyone has the demensions for the galley, as there is not even the wood there to make the cushions. If anyone could help, it was be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Teri

Hi and welcome,
first, a good upolstery shop should be able to measure for your cushions if you plan to have someone else do the work
if you plan to do it your self. get a roll of heavy paper (red rosin paper roll at home depot used for a drop cloth) and you can cut and tape together to make a template to take to a foam supply.

I can get measurements of my dinette seat bottoms for you this weekend. the fore and aft are different sizes and the backs are covered foam fastened to the bulkheads with either snaps or velcro.

good luck!

Scott

Scott, or should I say, Life Saver, thank you so much for you reply. What a relief. I have contacted a few places around my area and had them give me estimates on doing the interior, but they are asking $4000. Ummmm, I am looking at my check book, and I don't see me writing that check. lol. If you could give me the demensions for those cushions that would be wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Also, is it possible if you could give me the deminsion of that table too, (hope I am not asking to much). Like I said before, we have no cushions what so ever, and not even the wood to go off of for the cushions for the table, or even a table. lol. Thanks so kindly,

Teri....p.s., when it's ready, before and after pictures will be coming.

HI, thanks for the reply. I am intersted, what are you willing to sell them for and do you know what shipping will cost. I am located in Riverview, MI. Also, do you have any cushions for the state room?

Also, could you send me pictures of them. And will they fit my 1978 F32?

Thanks again, Teri

Teri,

Professionally made cushions will go a long way toward making your boat look like a million bucks. In this economy, I would look around and get a few estimates, not limiting yourself to boat upholstery places. The shop that made mine mainlydid cars, vans and rv's, but gave me a great bid and did super work.
