I was tightening the screws that hold my salon windows in place today and noticed a few were stripped - not the screws but the threads in fiberglass and wood frame behind the window. What is the best way to fix these?
I just repaired some stripped holes holding my railing mounts. I filled the holes with west system epoxy, let it harden then drilled new holes slightly smaller than screw, filled the hole with 3M 5200 put the screws in...worked great............John
I agree with John except for the 5200. It's a good choice only if you don't plan on never taking it apart again. If you want the the screws to remain serviceable, try 4200 or Lifeseal.
