Old Furuno FCV662

The unit powers up and looks to work except the depth displays is usually around 28-30ft when i know it's only 5ft at my slip. The scale on the screen goes from 0 - 20 - 40 -60 and up. I was talking to a service tech and he thought that the unit might have been set to a higher multiple (don't remember what he called it). The waters I'm in are typically around 5-15ft. Does anyone know this unit as I would think that the unit would have the ability to scale down to a 5 - 10 - 15 ft levels on the screen. Any thoughts or insight would be great other then it's time to replace it. I will be doing that but it's just not in the budget right now.

My FCV600L has increments from 0-15 I believe. I will check it again this weekend...
