Just a quick question to someone who has perhaps gone through this before...
I've got a 76 F25 with the manual head. I've purchased a new Jabsco manual unit and am about to install it, but am a little confused after looking at the old setup. The toilet is sitting on a block on wood, looks to be maybe 3-4 inches high and 5-6 inches wide... IS there a way to get under that block? I'm assuming there just nut and bolts holding it in, failing that can I just use small lag bolts in the new toilet to the wood or is there an easy way to do this...
Thanks again...
how to install new manual toilet on base...

I used lag screw and washers into fiberglass. Drill pilot holes and use S/S lag bolts and washers.
S/S is soft and fiberglass is unforgiving... and will snap those lags if holes not predrill and lightly lubed. Measure twice, no...5 times and drill once.

My old head with the tank underneath, sat up too high. By removing, it sat low, like it should...

I always get nervous doing projects like this. I am all for DYI, but with my boat I get nervous! To the point though, I think a toilet that was too high might be better than a toilet that was too low! Has anyone used Los Angeles plumbers for help with this?
