cockpit floor paint question

Post by trojanmanXS »

wondering here and figured I'd ask , has anyone here had the questionable idea of utilizing the grey "with spinkled in flecks of black and white" garage floor paint to paint the cockpit floor ?

would like to eventually sip morning coffee and just hose the floor of when needed and be done with it ,

I used this exact product on my garage floor and it holds up very well with the exception that hot tires tend to lift the paint. I don't see why it wouldn't work good on a cockpit floor.....only concern might be adhesion to fiber glass????

A cockpit floor open to the sun might not do so well then???

Boats continually flex. Would that have an affect on that product?

Remember Epoxy breaks down under UV (sun ) light . it needs a UV inhibitor , and I don't think this has it . contact Rustoleum and ask .

I have epoxy in my garage, like mentioned above, and I'm not a fan. you might contact a painter or Los Angeles contractors that might have a specialty product. I also like to look at the newer boats to see what kind of material they are using. There are always some products that may be new enough that we are missing...

Why not Interlux Interdeck...? I mean, how much paint would you need?
