summer heat
The up North Winter suck but I can tell you that this Texas summer sucks as well. 32 straight over 100 hotter than Las Vegas and Phoenix and some humitity as well and my Trojan still on the hard beside the barn. My promise is it will be ready to put in water by next spring one way or the other.

Our summer hasn't been too bad this year. We usually get winds out of the S-SW all summer and have temps in the hi 80's low to mid 90's. This year we have had a lot of days with winds from the N-NW off of the water and it has been very nice. We have had some days in the mid to high 90's but most in the low to mid 80's.
I hate when it gets so hot that you have to sit inside in the air conditioning all the time - I can do that at home.

Larry, I feel your pain. This week saw 96-101 temps with 90-100% humidity all day. It was miserable working outside. Wednesday, I actually had a new (lowly) "by the cut customer" stop me as I was putting the mower back in the trailer, to tell me I had missed a spot around a tree. I calmly explained that we were not finished yet, my guy was about to weedeat. She then had the gall to point out that she liked the edging to be a little tighter. I calmly explained that we edged last week, and that it did not look like it needed it. She griped some more, till I blurted out " Ma'am, it's 100 degrees out here today, and we ain't edging your yard." She shut up and went inside!!!!

hmmmm..... lawn customers and airline passengers.... sometimes people just frackin suck! when a passenger just goes on and on about how miserable their life is because they cannot get from A to B in cloud to ground lightning and microburst conditions all over the airport i find a sympathetic soul and say calmly, ''this is why on my day off i go to my boat with my dog and tend to my engines and generator. engines do not talk back! well, not intentionally anyway.'' 9 times out of 10 i will get an ''i hear ya brother!!"foofer b wrote:Larry, I feel your pain. I deal with the public every day so i can feel for you. Nothing like a customer complaining about there vehicle when it was there fault in the first place. Right now it seems like people have less money and are meaner than they use to be. I should not complain because 90% of my customers are great but it is that other 10% that stick in my mind and every now and again you just have to divorce a customer. When I divorce a customer I am always nice but I never take them back.
