Turn key 318
Ok I'm loving the boat everything is solid and comes up real clean - the bathroom even looks white again! Bilge is clean and all. I do however have no hope for this 318. Beacon Bob will be here in about 2 weeks but I wanted to see if I can find a complete 318 - turn key- drop in and go. I found a chevy 350 but not sure if it would fit transmission? Anyhow if you know of a place or site I can get the 318 please share

Try again. Edited the post. The period after the URL was being included in the link by mistake... now that I have spaces in there it should work.rooferdave wrote:just tried the link and it is not workingcaptainmaniac wrote:I just googled 'chrysler marine 318 crate', and got this http://www.theautochannel.com/autoparts ... items.html. Thanks, i did see that one before, i can get a crate motor for about $1200.00 but I am re-thinking doing this myself. Just does not seem worth the savings it will costs $400 just to have the old engine removed from the boat! I am waiting on a price from a local boat shop to take the boat, rebuild the motor and bring it back installed!

I'm waiting to hear back from Philadelphia Boat, they are going to give me a price to remove, rebuild and reinstall. Without an engine puller and the proper tools i would spend about $1000 to have a crane come twice, buy the proper tools and everything needed to pull the engine. my math is telling me send the boat away for a month and let someone with the right tools and equipment do it for you.
