Replacing Lower Station F36 ..... that was removed

Post by cuppa »

Any one wanna venture a guess at what it may cost to replace a Lower station that was removed from an F36?

What is a good source for the twin steering and throttle systems?

Thanks

Are you saying that you have everything to put it back...or do you have nothing?

Looking for a complete lower steering station for a 1982 460 or f-36 or where to find the steering box/hynautic station and instrument panels. I sure I could order the shifters and throttle controls and cables but would prefer a complete station if some one has.

I agree with Paul, I never use mine. The poor visibility of the water surface ahead just does not make it worth using IMO. Don't think it is worth the expense.... you will also need 8 sets of cables for throttle and shifters.... you are looking at 3K+ , do you really think you will use it much?
Do yourself a favor go down there while someone else is running the boat to see why I suggest it is not worth doing.

I use mine often except for docking, I always try and talk people who think it's a good idea to remove it not too. I'm on my second F32, someone installed a older lower helm in my last one, my new one is the correct one, I wouldn't buy one if it didn't have it.
