stowaways

Post by trojanmanXS »

Well I know Ive been uneventful in the pic loading part here but this is where I'm at. Ive removed 36 marine grade plywood from inside the cabin and built all new ones.Ive sanded all edges and rounded over the angles then put two coats on both sides and edges using "I cheaped out " porch and floor paint. Ive had good luck with this on other projacts boats included so it was used again. Ive dropped off all doors/drawers/and faceplates to a buddy who's making them all new with cherry wood. So next step was to remove the dark walnut formica boards from around the port and starboard windows inside the cabin . I started to remove the screws and had to remove the cover box that hides the wiring system that goes to the flybridge and THATS where I found them , musta been 5-6 mice sitting there with my chewed up foam from somewhere making them cozy. By the time I turned to the gaklley table and grabed a bonking stick they had run up to the flybridge and below to the bilge. Ive set four mousetraps one being right where I found them and covered the wwires back in , hopefully get them out before the new stuff strats going back in. Lastly once I removed the laminated board on the bottom is was what I freared under that was the plywood panels that allow the window screws to bite and hold these are all punky and rotted so will be removing these as well. to date I have 34 panels that have been removed and replaced . wont be to bad now there CANT be that many more in there ,
