I live in jax and am thinking about buying a F25. I am going to trailer it, it is on a 3 axle trailer. My concern is I have an F150. What do you use to tow your Trojan?

Welcome.....I think the F150 is too light duty for a 3 axle trailer with a 25 foot boat.....I have an F250 and would be pushing it to tow that load. You would probably be over 10,000lbs with trailer, boat, fuel and gear.......way too much for a 1/2 ton............IMO............John

I have an 03 F 250 with a 7.3 powerstroke & I pull my F28 with it. Handles it just fine at 70mph with a triple axle trailer with brakes. Your half ton will be fine with a triple axle & trailer brakes. Most of the boats wieght will be over the trailer axles which will limit the the tongue wieght on the pick up. I wouldn't worry about it. Then again l'm a dumb farmer what do I know?

What will your towing plans include? Ie-How far, how hilly how fast? mY CHEVY 1500 WAS NOT UP TO THE TASK. It was a case of the tail wagging the dog. Plus the tongue weight was too much for the suspension, causing too much hunker down. ALSO with that much boat , you will need 4 wheel drive as there will be ramps that are slippery or sandy.

Now if you plan to go 2-3 miles from the house maybe you can get by.

My chevy 2500 hd crew cab 4x4 hauls her nicely at 70 mph. The suspension is well planted and inspires confidence. Wish I had splurged on the diesel.

And that's all I am gonna say about that.
