SILVER GLENN SPRINGS

Post by foofer b »

The Admiral and I enjoyed a three day weekend anchored in the spring run at Silver Glenn springs in the Ocala National Forest . We launched a few miles south in Astor Florida, a small town on the St. Johns River and motored north to Lake George ( really just a really wide spot of the SJR) to the spring. It was a great way to spend the weekend snorkling, fishing, putting around in the dinghy. The new (to me) cruisair cooled the cabin nicely, tho the honda 200 only lasted five hours on a tank, and required a 3 AM feeding!

Yeah the water was crystal clear and a cool 76 degrees. Reminds me of the gulf in NW Fl.
