Nancy's F-32

I went up to Burlington today and gave Nancy a deposit on her '78 F-32 that shes had for sale. What a nice lady and how nice shes kept her boat. Since she and John have had it hauled and winterized already we did the on land inspection today and will trial it in May. I mentioned to her I'd like to see it float and run before I take it the 5 hours down lake for a ride on land a half mile to splash in my lake. She was agreeable to those terms and we will close the deal in May.

So the purpose of this post is twofold I guess. First, to thank Nancy for being so prompt and professional for our meeting today despite I was running a little late. Second to introduce myself as the next owner of Nancy's former '78 F-32.

This is the second F-32 to come thru the docks here, the last one was an extremely well optioned '77 which regretably and stupidly was sold in 1985. Fast forward 26 years and several boats later and mysteriously we are back here in an F-32 again. Its the layout. Can't beat it. Only thing close would be a similar period Silverton 34, and while that is very very nice to me, its still not an F-32. Nancys' F-32 has taken me awhile to find. There are a lot of them out there right now, but when you distill price, condition, attention to known issues, and my stringent list of must have options this was the one.

Commission Point's list of must have factory F-32 options:

-Oven (not just stove, complete w/ rotisserie kit)
-Genset
-Enclosed forward V-berth
-Saddle Tanks
-Hydraulic Steering
-Center Vent Window (with working crank assy, not the wingnut type)

Check out Nancy's website before she takes the ad down if you want to see a decent representation of what she sold to me. Right now the boat is on land and surrounded by other dry docked vessels, so I didn't take any pics of my own yesterday.

A very nice well loved boat ,Nancy has been over at BoaterED for years and really showed pride in ownership, good luck. PS ask Nancy to remove the price and # from the linc and keep it up, reel nice pictures.

I enjoyed meeting you, too, and your dad as well, and am just as pleased as you that we struck a deal. On your list of must-have's, we hit 4.5 out of 5. I really don't think we ever had the rotisserie, and I've just gone and searched the boat department (lol - the cubbyholes at the top of the back stairs), and came up empty-handed.

She was shrunk today....

I'm happy that the boat is going to such a gorgeous lake. Hey, I checked out your web site...you hadn't mentioned this (side?) business. Great concept for the Adirondacks.

Long time lurker, first time poster Nancy.

I agree it was a kindred thing and its nice for all of us the a deal could be struck and that such a nice boat gets to stay in the extended Trojan family.

SH said that you were gonna have her covered today. Thats great. She'll be ready for the thaw and the closing.

Yeh I gues I didn't mention the whole wilderness guide, obsessive hiker thing, thats a whole seperate expensive hobby.

Congrats! You're about to find out our little "secret" LOL. These are some of the best made, heaviest, stable, widest, economical, maneuverable and easy to work on boats out there.

I noticed the engine hours on Nancy's Ad. I'm sure the rest of the group will join in to suggest you upgrade to diesels when the time comes....start saving now!

1450 hours ? that nothing thats =to 50k miles a car I have yet to see a marine gaser where out ,time salt, poor mantance and lack of use kills marine engines
