wood stove
has anyone put in a wood stove? thinking like the Halibut or something small like it http://www.marinestove.com/
No, but did have a customer with a 17 Montauk with full windshield and side curtains who rides around in Lake Michigan drinking brown liquor with a propane heater inside just inches from his above floor tank.

I personally will not use an open flame inside an enclosed cabin area. Whether it be an electric/alcohol stove, propane stove, propane heater.... to much danger of explosion in an enclosed area. When I was looking for a boat if it had an electric/alcohol stove it was out of the question for me, I stopped looking and moved on to the next one!

out on the back deck and as far from the tank vents...they're on the sides mid-ship....never inside..drbbqking wrote:True about a wood stove and open flame but what about cooking on a propane stove

How many power boats come with propane stoves ? Many sail boats do ( diesel power)BUT they have special lockers for the tanks and other safety features . A boat a few miles away blew up thanks to propane last year .drbbqking wrote:True about a wood stove and open flame but what about cooking on a propane stove
Look at most propane stoves and you will find" NOT FOR INDOOR USE "
on them
