I started my front deck Re-Core project and was sure I would find mush but what I found when I drilled a few exploratory holes from inside was pure white dry balsa core.

Unfortunatly the deck crackles when I walk on it and where I removed the hatches I can see the top layer is delaminated in most areas especially around the hatches. (this may have been a water issue but there is no rot visible and the core is completly dry from sitting 6 years in heated storage) I am also thinking since the stringers were shot it flexed the foredeck enough to create delamination problems, who knows but its there.
So what I am thinking of doing is drilling from the hatch openings using a 20" long x 3/16 drill just under the top skin and injecting west system using a caulking gun attachment to re bond.
The other option is the bazillion holes approach, but I want to avoid for cosmetic purposes so I want to do somthing from the inside......
Maybe some kinda high pressure squirter attachment to get inbetween the layers
