new boat owner

Post by Doc Stephie Rae »

 Wow! Bought a 1988 33' Trojan at an auction today for $200! I have no idea what model it is or what the 2 inboard engines are. Curious as to how to find out with VIN# TRJGJO37K687 what it is. It's called "Prime Time" from Pompano Beach, FL, 'though now it's in Flowery Branch, GA. Any ideas on how to track down details on this boat? I'm a virgin boat owner.

Thanks for you your help. Stephie

Sounds like a 10 meter. There are a few permutations of that model. 200 bux sounds rather inexpensive. Good thing you have a doctors salary. It will probably come in handy on a 200 dollar boat thats almost 25 years old. Best of luck. Post some pictures.

You have a 10 meter ,but there are several models , most came with Crusader 454 big blocks (Chevy/GM base) But being 23 years old things could have been changed .

Post some photos of boat and engine and we can give you some answers

The last numbers "87" denote the year 1987 looks like you got an 87 trojan. Can't help with any other part of the number though. Congtats and good luck... Need pics :)

June 87 build could easilly have been sold new as a 1988 model in the fall of '87.

Very true mine is a 78 by state title but 77 by the feds as the go by build date not model year .

I bought a 78 boat but it became a 77 when I documented it :?
