Doubt if this will help Aaron, but thought I'd throw it out there.
I rarely take the boat out at night since I don't have radar yet, but the other night while fishing, came in after dark and found out NONE of my Nav lights worked.

They worked a year ago, but I stupidly did not check them this year. The next day I decided they had to be fixed!!!
I assumed it was corrosion and pulled out my "Fluid Film" and tiny wire brush and started about cleaning all the contacts. While moving the bulbs around some of them would come on very dimly.
I cleaned the contacts, put all the bulbs back in (none of them were burnt out), all worked but all were very dim. Perplexed, I pulled out a bulb and found on each one that both metal bases were spinning freely from the glass bulb itself. Luckily I have a spare pack of the little bullet type bulbs and each one of the new ones had very tight metal bases. I replaced each bulb and now they are all VERY bright.
