They are Excellent to eat!! The small ones are even better. I usually grill them.

wow the big ones must have hauled butt right past the big fishmen down this way....haven't heard of any getting hooked.....

I havn't caught any big ones this fall yet, but people are starting to catch them here and there. They'll be here soon enough

Ron, the big ones have been around for a couple weeks now. Don't wait too long!

Here are a couple of pictures of my buddy's kid with two nice rock from the Potomac River, one week apart. The second one from last Saturday. Gotta love kids hooked on fishing!

This fish went 43" and 35lbs.

This fish went 45" and 42 lbs.

Take your pick, Striped Bass, Rockfish, Line Siders, Convict Bass...more importantly, tasty

But technically, Morone Saxatilis

They have them in fresh water as well, more commonly known as Hybrid Stripers.
