10.8 meter international sedan advice

Good day !! I am a new member to this forum. I am presently in negotiations for a 1988 10.8 m International sedan here in canada. 454's crusaders, 1082 hrs, Any hints as to strange / specifics that i should be aware of in the survey process. Hope to hear from other 10.8m owners to pick their brains without being a bother. Always glad to get varied opinions and advice Thanks in advance

The 10.8 is a well engineered, designed and quality built vessel.

It represents a tremendous VALUE as compoared to most "production" boats.

If you maintain this boat well, you will experience little or zero depreciation over it's life.

Welcome aboard. Source out your own surveyor, do not use one suggested by the seller. Get refferences and follow them up. I've found that there are two types of surveyors; thorough and not so thorough. One is commonly used by sellers and the other by buyers. You want one to take his time. If he says it'll take him about an hour, run away! Where is the boat located?

Whether you get the International or not, stick around. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum that is applicable across all boat brands.

Boats are a 'to each his own' thing.... Some Trojan lovers love Internationals and hate the older F-series, some (like me) love the old F-series and wouldn't take an International if it was free.

Bottom line - depends what you are in to and what appeals to you. You need a boat that supports your lifestyle, and intended usage.

Both models have pros and cons IMO. Either way, you'd be getting a good vessel.
