Propeller Manufacture
For pretty much every out board, I/O and inboard that I've owned I've had a Michigan Wheel or Federal propeller on it. A friend of mine recently pointed me to ZF Friedrichshafen to check out their props. I knew that this company was into bow thrusters but I had no idea how big they were and that they were into props as well.
Has anyone here had any experience with their props?

I'm going to replace my dynajet 14.10 cupped with a DJX 14-10 cupped, thanks to all of the debris that was in my river after the hurricane.
According to Michigan Wheel, The DJX is the evolution of the Dynajet. The designs have been modified to be better suited to highly loaded, limited tip clearance applications. All "X" series propellers are CNC machined to facilitate very accurate and repeatable product.

Michigan Wheel is doing great things at Hatteras, most everyone else seems to be using (50-70') Veem and smaller like wakeboard boats are all using Acme.
I must point out that Michigan and Acme are USA products..

Thought your boat did better with 22X21 ? where they 4 blade ?
I am taking my Michigan wheels off and putting my Federals back on ( after being reworked to class1 and prop scanned ) The Michigans were great as where the Federals . the Federals had some vibration hopefully that will be gone .
BTW Federal and Michigan are the same company now

Why am I going back to my Federal ? My Michigan are due fo a rework and My Federal are nibral and My Michigan are bronze ( softer ) The only reson I got the bronze Michigan and not Nibral was the price I could not turn down . $1000 for a new set ( 22x22 3 blade) . One normaly is a grand .A nibral will run from $1214. to almost $1600each depending where you find them .And these are 3 blade not 4 they run even more . Big wheels = Big bucks
The Michigans did do a liltle better then the Feds when changed over ( new vs old) be interresting to see how the class 1 feds do .
