drop-ins for F-36 in NY

Post by JuiceClark »

I thought someone considering repowering an F-36 in the NY area may be interested in this ad for 330hp Cummins with 220a gears on BoatDiesel.com:

2- 315 h.p. Cummins 950hrs. With zf 220a gears 1.6:1 ratio. Dealer updated both engines with new heads m-2, new 7mm injectors, complete with mounts and s/s risers. Tiara factory paints engines blue - engines need paint. Owner repowered must sell $17,850 for pair complete located in n.y. On hudson near tz bridge 646 235-9546

Tony,

Why don't you buy these for yours? If you've got the beer, I'll come down and donate the whitte paint.

Well, the sad news is that a guy is coming all the way from Atlanta to look at my boat for purchase on Saturday. He already has a 50' Viking so he knows enough about boats to know this is a very good one. I need the cash to put toward that little side business I started building 50' custom sportfish.

I was on the boat cleaning last night. Had the TV and A/C on...all the nice lights I had installed...looking at all the work I've done...<sigh>. I'd be lying if I didn't say it would really be great to keep this one for life. It's the right size boat with the proper dimensions and I took the time to correct its few design flaws - just a great boat.

But onward and upward...I hope. Here' a preliminary drawing of the new girl:

funny. My lady kicked like an angry mule when I bought this Trojan. Then, she exploded like a nuke when I mentioned how much $$ it took to renovate it.
But when I told her it was probably sold she started to cry and said..."Oh no, I love that boat!"

You know the old saying about the best two days of boat ownership. Well, I've found the opposite! The wife makes the first day miserable and the last day is truly sickening.

I've never heard of this company. The 300hp diesels look like chevy big block conversions with a little turbo on there. I'm not a fan of those converted engines...but can't tell what I'm lookin' at here:
